Jewish Quarter
The Jewish Quarter is located between the Old Town Square and the River Vltava. The neighbourhood has six synagogues, including the Maisel Synagogue, the Spanish Synagogue, and the Old-New Synagogue; the Jewish Ceremonial Hall; and the old Jewish cemetery. In the 13th century, the Jewish people were forbidden to live anywhere else in Prague. Today, these buildings form the best preserved complex of historic Jewish buildings in all of Europe. The Jewish Museum is closed on Saturdays and on Jewish holidays.
