Charles Bridge

In its early centuries it was called the Stone Bridge, and it was a Gothic stone bridge connecting two parts of the city, the Old Town and the Lesser Town. The Czech King and Emperor, Charles IV, started construction in the 14th century. The towers at either end of the bridge are known as the Charles Bridge Towers, and can be climbed for a view overlooking Prague.
