Wenceslas Square
Known as Václavské náměstí by the citizens of Prague, it is one of the two most important squares in the city, and forms the centre of Prague's entertainment and nightlife. The main shopping and business districts start here, and it is one of the city's most popular locations. At the upper end of Wenceslas Square is the monumental National Museum, and just to its left, the State Opera of Prague. Within the square, there is a bronze statue of St. Wenceslas.
